What's included

What's included in foundational optimization

Not just 'tweaked the title and description'. Full work on everything that affects your site's visibility in search.

Technical audit and fixes

We find and fix technical issues: speed, indexing, duplicates, broken links, mobile version.

Meta tags on every page

Title, Description, H1 and OG tags for all key pages. Unique and optimized for search queries.

SEO copy on key pages

We rewrite or expand copy on category, service and home pages. No fluff, grounded in the keyword core.

Schema.org markup

We mark up everything Google can display: products, reviews, FAQs, articles, organization.

Internal linking

We set up logical links between pages, passing weight to priority URLs.

Sitemap and robots setup

The files are configured correctly: the right things open, the wrong things closed, sitemap submitted to GSC.

Image optimization

Compression, lazy loading, proper alt text, WebP/AVIF formats.

Core Web Vitals

We bring LCP, INP and CLS into the green zone. We speed up loading of the most important pages.

Process

How we work

Site audit

We collect all technical and content issues and draw up a prioritized list of tasks.

Alignment

We present the findings and discuss what we handle ourselves and what we do together with your team.

We resolve technical issues. We bring in your developer or work in the CMS ourselves.

Content part

We optimize meta tags, copy on key pages, headings and alt text.

Linking and schema

We set up internal links, add microdata and validate everything.

Final pass

We check the result and record it in a report. Everything must be in place and working.

Advantages

Why foundational optimization isn't 'a bit of SEO'

Builds the foundation

Without foundational optimization, further SEO is ineffective. This is a must-have before anything else.

Fast results

Results are often visible within 4–8 weeks — movement into the top 50 and top 30 for medium-competition queries.

No monthly fees

This is a one-time job. We hand over the result and the site works without monthly payments.

Great for a launch

If there's no budget for full SEO yet, this service already moves things in the right direction.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does foundational optimization differ from comprehensive SEO?

Foundational SEO is a one-time job on the site's foundation: technical work, meta tags, content, internal linking. Comprehensive SEO is ongoing monthly work: new content, links, analytics, strategy adjustments.

Do I need to order anything else afterwards?

It depends on the competition. For low-competition niches, foundational work is often enough to get traffic. For competitive ones it's just the start — you'll need ongoing support after that.

How long does it take?

3–6 weeks depending on the size of the site. For a landing page — 2–3 weeks; for an online store with 1,000+ products — 5–8 weeks.

Do you make the changes yourselves or hand them to our developer?

Whatever works best. For most CMSs (WordPress, OpenCart, Webflow, Tilda) we work ourselves. For custom solutions we prepare a technical spec for your developer.

What will the report contain?

A list of completed work, before/after (meta tags, speed, visibility), screenshots and recommendations for the future.

Is content included in the price?

Optimizing existing copy — yes. Writing new copy is separate, since that's a copywriting task.

About the service
Foundational SEO: where rankings begin

Foundational SEO is the level of work without which any further SEO falls flat. Building links to a site with misconfigured meta tags, duplicate content and slow loading is like trying to fill a leaky tank. You’ll spend resources with no result.

This is a one-time but deep job. Unlike comprehensive SEO, where a team works on the site every month, foundational optimization has a clear start and finish: we come in, run an audit, fix the issues, set up the foundation — and hand the site back in a stable state, ready for further growth.

What ‘foundational optimization’ actually means

Agencies often sell ‘a bit of SEO’ under this name: they rewrote the title tags and added alt text to images. We put considerably more into it:

  • Technical level. We fix indexing problems, remove duplicates, set up canonicals, check robots.txt and sitemap, fix broken links and configure redirects.
  • Meta tags. We write Title and Description for all key pages: home, categories, services, key articles. Grounded in the keyword core.
  • Page structure. We check the heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3), add a logical content breakdown and remove walls of unstructured text.
  • Internal linking. We set up logical links between pages, pass weight from traffic pages to priority ones, and add breadcrumbs and ‘related products’ sections.
  • Microdata. We add schema.org for everything Google can display: products, reviews, FAQs, articles, organization, local business.
  • Speed. We compress images, bring Core Web Vitals into the green zone, remove heavy scripts and set up caching.

When foundational optimization is enough

In low- and medium-competition niches, foundational optimization is often enough to reach the top 10 for most queries. This applies to local businesses (a single city), narrow niches (rare services or products) or branded queries where you’re the main player.

In competitive niches, foundational optimization is a mandatory first step, but after it you need monthly support: content, links, analytics, technical maintenance. Going to market with only the basics in niches like ‘online loan’, ‘buy iPhone’ or ‘legal services Kyiv’ isn’t an option.

Why it’s a one-time job

After foundational optimization the site has a clean technical layer, optimized meta tags and structure, and configured internal linking. This doesn’t ‘decay’ over time. If you add new pages, they’ll need new meta tags (a separate, cheaper task). If you do a redesign, a re-check is needed. But the ‘foundation’ itself doesn’t need redoing every 3 months.

Who we recommend starting with the basics

  • Sites that no one has ever optimized before.
  • Sites after a redesign or migration.
  • Sites with low search visibility despite decent traffic from other sources.
  • Businesses that want to warm up the site before launching comprehensive SEO.

Results you can expect

In our experience, after foundational optimization:

  • organic traffic grows by 30–80% within 3 months;
  • rankings appear in the top 30 for queries the site never showed up for before;
  • load speed improves 2–3×;
  • 60–90% of technical errors in Google Search Console are cleared.

These aren’t guarantees — they’re average figures across our project base. For your site we can calculate the numbers after a short audit: we look at the current state and share a forecast.
